Our notes on Kaggle
We wrote these notes when we read the Kaggle site for our SQL comparisons. For each note, you see the day of our check and a link to the page that we read.
We give the label "Product's own words" to a note that holds only what Kaggle says about its own product.
Kaggle price and plans

Kaggle query check and help
- In 5 of the 6 Intro to SQL exercises, you write queries. In its check code, Kaggle compares the result of each query with the expected result, for example the column names and values. Some graded answers are not SQL. In exercise 1, you give two numbers and a Python list. In exercise 5, you give a table name. In exercise 6, you give a Python list. Checked October 16, 2026 (source)
- In its check code for the analytic functions exercise, Kaggle also looks for words in your query, such as OVER and AVG. Kaggle does this before it compares your result. Checked October 15, 2026 (source)
- We found no final test. In each lesson, you do a tutorial and an exercise. Checked October 15, 2026 (source)
