We wrote these notes when we read the Oracle Dev Gym site for our SQL comparisons. For each note, you see the day of our check and a link to the page that we read.

We give the label "Product's own words" to a note that holds only what Oracle Dev Gym says about its own product.

Oracle Dev Gym free use

  • Oracle calls Databases for Developers: Foundations "A free SQL course". You pay nothing for the class. Checked October 20, 2026 (source)

  • You need an Oracle Account to take the class. Checked October 20, 2026 (source)

Oracle Dev Gym query check and help

  • The class is a series of videos, interactive SQL tutorials, and quizzes. Three of the 12 modules are review quizzes. Checked October 20, 2026 (source)
  • We found no final exam. The last module is a set of review quizzes on insert, update, delete and truncate. Checked October 20, 2026 (source)

Oracle Dev Gym SQL topics

  • In the modules, you learn select and where, joins (inner, outer, full and cross), and aggregates and group by. We found no module on subqueries or window functions. Checked October 20, 2026 (source)

Oracle Dev Gym SQL engines

  • You learn SQL for Oracle Database. Oracle says that you do not need a database of your own. Checked October 20, 2026 (source)

Oracle Dev Gym content and size
