Our notes on ThoughtSpot
We wrote these notes when we read the ThoughtSpot site for our SQL comparisons. For each note, you see the day of our check and a link to the page that we read.

ThoughtSpot SQL engines
- ThoughtSpot names no database on the tutorial index. In some lessons, ThoughtSpot points you to PostgreSQL, for example: "If you're using Mode's public service as in this tutorial, the Postgres literature contains the related functions." In the editor on the SELECT lesson, we ran SELECT sqlite_version() and got 3.49.1, so you run your queries in SQLite there. For SELECT version(), a PostgreSQL function, ThoughtSpot showed "SQL Error: no such function: version". Checked November 1, 2026 (source)
ThoughtSpot content and size
